Few Christians today in America today are obeying the basic command of Christ when He said 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature' as seen in Mark 16:15. At the same time those who are stepping out are not seeing great results! Many Christians lack the discipleship and understanding of what's available to them after they are saved. What the church is really missing is true discipleship. They need to know their identity in Christ in order to move in the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord has provided us with emmidiate authority thru His name to cast out devils and heal the sick. These are great tools to open the eyes of the unbeliever yet the large majority of Christians don't know this. (Mark 16:17-18) -> 'And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.'
The truth is that if we belong to Christ and have received the same Holy Spirit that He received then we can do the same things he did and more. (John 14:12) -> 'Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father'.
The main goal is to live out the book of Acts just like the apostles and early believers did. Walking in love, truth and the full knowledge and power of the Holy Spirit in order to fullfill our Father's commands. --> Share the gospel, make disciples, cast out demons, heal the sick.
It's key that we love God with all our heart, soul and mind and our neighbors as ourselves. It's equally important that we seek all Jesus has for us so that we can share his love and compassion thru the power of the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul says it best in 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 -> 'My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power.'
